“Striving for Joy”
Joy does not come easy to me. I’m more melancholy by nature, so joy is something I have to intentionally pursue and strive to obtain. And as I continue in this life, I’m learning to receive and hold joy even in the midst of sorrow and pain.

“Dark Night of the Soul”
There are times when darkness overshadows all aspects of life—nothing seems to satisfy and nothing brings joy. But in that darkness, there is a process of refinement and at the end of it there is a joy and satisfaction words cannot describe.

“The Gift of Freedom”
The strongholds of sin are ever present in humanity, but by God’s grace that bondage does not have the last word. The gift of freedom from sin has been bestowed upon humanity by the blood of Jesus. By making the choice of accepting His salvation and grace, I have begun to walk in that freedom.

“Light in the Darkness”
Even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, there is a light. It may not look what is expected and it may be distorted through the darkness, but the light can always be found.

“The Released Haunting”
There are some things in the past the never seem to leave me even when the distance seems to grow. They are apart of me and have made me who I am. And they may stay with me, but I don’t have to hold on to them.
